I’ve recently re-discovered the joy of spray paint, now that I have the space to actually spray paint. I was also inspired by my recent visit to Durham where I saw all the lovely DIY projects that my friend Piper had been working on.
My nightstand had turned into kind of a mess, so I decided to pretty it up with some gold accents.
- Small acrylic tray from The Container Store lined with a piece of gold glitter cardstock cut to size (6″x9″)
- Mason jar spray painted coral, and lid spray painted gold
- IKEA Tolsby Frame spray painted gold (frame is originally white, very inexpensive way to display photos, and I can also see these being used as wedding table numbers)
The tray is an easy way to keep things tidy, I love having pens and a notepad within arm’s reach, since I like to jot down notes and reminders before I forget. The little cloth bag holds some hair ties, which I’m always losing track of. Love the way that this turned out! And it was ridiculously simple to put together.
